As the galaxy was engulfed in conflict, Vima continued to learn and grow. A group called the Krath had declared war on the Jedi, and the reemergence of the Sith greatly concerned the Jedi Knights. Vima traveled with her mother to the Jedi convocation on Deneba, when the Jedi were attacked by battle droids sent by the Krath. Vima was actually snatched away from her mother, but was saved by Jedi Knight Sylvar, who returned her safely to Nomi. After the battle of Deneba, Vima returned to Ossus, while her mother fought the war against the Krath and the Sith. Although still a toddler, Vima had the honor of meeting the great Jedi Master, Odan-Urr.

During a down time in the war with the Sith and the Krath, Vima returned Ambria with her mother, Master Thon, and Sylvar. However, they couldn't escape the effects of the war even there. Sent by newly named Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun, two Jedi Knights, under the influence of a Sith spell, followed them with an intent to kill Master Thon; one was even Master Thon's former student, Oss. Luckily however, the Jedi were able to repel the attack and even save Oss from the influence of the Sith's workings. Fearing for the safety of the other Jedi Masters, Thon decided to travel to Ossus with Nomi, Vima, and Sylvar to make sure the other Masters were out of harm's way.

Once on Ossus however, the Jedi learned that the other Jedi Master's were not as lucky as Thon had been, and even worse news was that the Cron Cluster, a system of ten stars, was detonated by the Krath, and the shockwave from the explosion was headed directly toward Ossus. As an evacuation attempt was taking place around her, as well as an attack by Dark Lord Kun and an army of Mandalorian warriors, the Jedi decided that one of their first priorities was getting Vima to safety. Soon it came time for the planet to be completely evacuated as the explosion was too close for comfort, and Vima and the Jedi left. However, they left on a mission to finally put an end to the Sith War.

They had already defeated Kun's right hand man and Jedi himself, Ulic Qel-Droma, and were now on their way to defeat Kun. Ulic entered the war a promising, young Jedi. He even had developed a close relationship with Vima's mother, Nomi. But, the events of the war, and the loss of his master caused Ulic to make some choices that would affect the entire galaxy. Attempting to defeat the Krath from within, Ulic eventually became its leader, and was only finally stopped by Vima's mother after he murder his own brother, Cay Qel-Droma. Vima's mother had found Ulic, with the lifeless body of Cay in his arms and in the heat of the moment used a very dangerous Jedi technique of immersing Ulic in the Light Side of the Force, blinding him from it forever.
